Yonge North York Korean Vibe Contest

(“Contest Rules”)

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.

The Yonge North York Korean Vibe Contest (the “Contest”) is administered by the Yonge North York BIA (the “Contest Sponsor”) and is governed by these Official Contest Rules (“Contest Rules”). By entering the Contest, entrants agree to be bound by these Contest Rules and the decisions of the Contest Sponsor.

1. Contest Period

The Contest begins on August 21, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. ET and is scheduled to close on September 21, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET (the “Contest Period”).

The BTS Blvd. street signs are a temporary installation. If the installation period is changed by the City of Toronto or for circumstances beyond the Contest Sponsor’s control, the Contest Sponsor reserves the right to modify the Contest Period. Any material change will be communicated through the Yonge North York BIA’s official channels.

2. Eligibility

The Contest is open to legal residents of Canada, excluding Québec, who have reached the age of majority in Ontario (18 years of age) at the time of entry.

Employees, officers and directors of the Yonge North York BIA, members of its Board of Management, its contest partners and agencies involved in the administration of the Contest, and members of their immediate families or households are not eligible to enter.

The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.

3. How to Enter

Experience the Yonge North York Korean vibe and enter for your chance to win!

During the Contest Period:

STEP 1 – FIND
 Visit one of the BTS Blvd. street sign locations along Yonge Street in Yonge North York.

STEP 2 – SNAP
 Take an original photo featuring one of the BTS Blvd. street signs.

STEP 3 – SHARE & TAG
 Post the photo to your social media account during the Contest Period and:

  • Tag @yongenorthyork; and
  • Include the hashtag #YongeNorthYork.

STEP 4 – YOU’RE ENTERED
 Once the above requirements have been completed, you will receive one eligible entry into the random draw.

There is no purchase necessary to enter the Contest.

Entrants are responsible for ensuring that their entry can be viewed by the Contest Sponsor. If an entrant’s social media account is private, the Contest Sponsor may be unable to verify the entry. Private-account users may be asked to provide a screenshot or other reasonable proof of their qualifying post before the Contest closes.

Entries must be original, appropriate for a general audience and must not infringe upon the intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other rights of any third party.

4. Prize

There is one (1) prize available to be won.

The selected winner will receive:

One (1) $150 CAD gift card to a Yonge North York BIA restaurant of the winner’s choice.

Restaurant selection may be subject to availability and participation. The Contest Sponsor will work with the confirmed winner to arrange the prize.

The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be substituted for cash, except at the sole discretion of the Contest Sponsor.

The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.

5. Winner Selection and Confirmation

Following the close of the Contest Period, one (1) eligible entry will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received.

The selected entrant will be contacted through the social media account used to submit the entry or through other contact information provided to the Contest Sponsor.

To be declared the confirmed winner, the selected entrant must:

  • Respond to the Contest Sponsor within three (3) business days of being contacted;
  • Correctly answer, without assistance, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question;
  • Complete and return a Winner Declaration and Release Form, if requested;
  • Provide proof of eligibility if requested; and
  • Otherwise comply with these Contest Rules.

If the selected entrant cannot be contacted, does not respond within the required period, answers the skill-testing question incorrectly, fails to return required documentation, or otherwise fails to comply with these Contest Rules, they may be disqualified and another eligible entrant may be randomly selected.

6. Photo and Promotional Use

By entering the Contest, entrants acknowledge that their qualifying social media post may be viewed, shared or reposted by the Yonge North York BIA in connection with promoting the Contest.

The confirmed winner may also be invited to participate in a prize presentation and photograph.

Any broader use of an entrant’s submitted content will be subject to applicable rights and permissions.

7. Social Media Disclaimer

This Contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, Meta, TikTok, or any other social media platform through which the Contest may be promoted.

By participating, entrants release the applicable social media platforms from any responsibility associated with the Contest, to the extent permitted by law.

References to BTS, BTS Blvd. or related names and marks are made solely in connection with the temporary local street-sign activation. The Contest is administered by the Yonge North York BIA and is not represented as being sponsored, endorsed or administered by BTS or its representatives.

8. General Conditions

The Contest Sponsor reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to cancel, suspend, extend or modify the Contest or these Contest Rules if circumstances beyond its reasonable control — including changes to the BTS Blvd. street sign installation, technical problems, fraud, security issues or other circumstances — affect the proper administration, security or integrity of the Contest.

The Contest Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who:

  • Does not comply with these Contest Rules;
  • Attempts to manipulate or interfere with the Contest;
  • Submits false, misleading or fraudulent information; or
  • Engages in conduct that compromises the fairness or integrity of the Contest.

All decisions of the Contest Sponsor regarding the administration of the Contest are final, subject to applicable law.

 

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Yonge North York BIA, its affiliated entities, partners, agencies, directors, officers, employees, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Releasees”) will not be responsible for lost, late, incomplete, inaccessible or misdirected entries or for technical, network, social media platform, hardware, software or other failures that may prevent an entry from being received or verified.

Entrants are responsible for their own safety while visiting BTS Blvd. street sign locations. Participants should remain aware of traffic, pedestrians, construction and their surroundings and must comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Entrants should not enter roadways, obstruct pedestrian or vehicular traffic, trespass on private property, or otherwise place themselves or others at risk in order to take a Contest photo.

The Releasees are not responsible for any loss, injury, damage or other liability arising from participation in the Contest or the acceptance or use of the prize, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

10. Privacy

Personal information collected in connection with the Contest will be used for the purposes of administering the Contest, verifying eligibility, contacting the selected entrant and awarding the prize, and otherwise in accordance with the Yonge North York BIA’s applicable privacy practices.

Any opportunity to subscribe to the Yonge North York BIA e-newsletter or other marketing communications will be presented as a separate, optional consent and is not required to enter the Contest.

11. Governing Law

The Contest and these Contest Rules are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada.

To the extent permitted by law, all issues concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Contest Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrants and the Contest Sponsor in connection with the Contest, will be governed by and construed in accordance with those laws.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Contest Rules is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
